  SNOW DAY ROUND 2

The Deck was the best place to get the snow.

Do we throw the snow balls at each other? No, but we can pummel the house with them. Great plan, boyz.

Peyton and Caleb are Sillyheads

I have no idea what they were doing... I know they got the bags from church, but they were never intended as hats. I can't tell you how much I love this picture.

I love this one too. PS Caleb was being potty trained, hence the nakedness.

Peyton backstage

Our church just finished its annual Christmas pageant/play. It was great fun, but one of those events on your life that puts enough pressure on you and your family that you see what you're made of. Peyton and Caleb couldn't have been better during the process. It sure helped that we have family and friends who took time to take care of them and make sure they went to bed at normal times (the few times they did come to full performances they didn't get down till 10pm which is cccccrrrraaaaaazzzzyyyyy). Anyway, the last performance was a Sunday Matinee' and while Caleb slept and played at my parents, Peyton stayed at the church with us. This is how big Peyton has gotten. He never went into childcare. Didn't need to, first he was playing games on Andy's phone, but second he apparently has friends in some of the younger cast.
Andy in his costume monitoring Peyton.

Peyton and the younger cast playing their video games. It was just a line of electronics.
Peyton on stage dressed as Captain America.
This was the closest Peyton would come to the actual Captain America in the play. Peyton was soooooo excited about it.
Captain America tried to get a fist bump out of Peyton, but he wasn't having it. Just left him hanging. Thanks to Paul May for being such a good sport.

What have Peyton and Caleb been up to?!

I know, it's been a month.. or two... or two. These kiddo's keep me pretty busy, not to mention that when I do pull out the computer Peyton's head opens up, his brain falls out, and all he can say is Lego Batman... this happens until it's all my fingers can do but type: Lego Batman. Luckily I have 7 minutes until his "rest time" is over so let's see what this mama can do!

First, for Thanksgiving we made Turkeys (I know completely unexpected right?) We painted a bag and then I traced their little hands (which are getting bigger and bigger as we speak) and glued them on painted toilet paper rolls. They love painting.

Not only did we decorate for Thanksgiving, but we also decorated for Christmas! Andy pulled out all the bags and boxes and Peyton grabbed a Titans football ornament and ran around with it for a good hour while we tried to get the tree in working order. This might have involved a couple extra strands of white lights which I had BRAIDED together with a blue strand about 5 years ago.

Caleb gravitated toward the Santa hat and wore that for a while. Only he was really into pretending to be invisible so half the time he was wondering around with it pulled over his eyes. That kid.

Who's that homeless lady with the kid in the santa hat? :/

What's better than decorating and college football?

Peyton liked to decorate the mid branches.

While Caleb did a great job decorating the lower branches.

Finished product.

Peyton and Caleb go to Chesterfest

We rode the Trolley to Chesterfest (I'll break it down for you... it's a festival that was in Chester). Yes, I could have parked on site, but my children get trills from riding in big buses. I think it has something to do with not having to be in carseats. :) Peyton brought his light saber, just in case we met Darth Vader.

Ready for some fun.

Caleb sliding down the bouncy slide. Look at that sweet face. I dressed him in bright colors so I could find the little guy. This also is one of his favorite shirts. He really likes Hulk.

Peyton was so sweet to Caleb while they waited in line. Unprompted. He kept his arms around him the whole time. This is pictorial evidence that they really like each other.

We waited forever (not really) but it was a long time in the face painting line. Peyton really really wanted a batman mask and he wanted Caleb to get a Robin mask. I think Caleb chickened out and said Cat instead.

He's still cute though. Two thumbs up to Chesterfest. We had a great time and stayed way longer than we planned.

Caleb's New Bed

April 20, 2012 Caleb turned Two. We celebrated by moving his bed into Peyton's room.  Please beware, never underestimate the amount of time it takes to move a crib from one room to another... especially when said crib is wider than the actual hallway it must travel down to its destination. Noted. So after taking it apart piece by piece and then putting it together piece by piece... only minus one side we could say done.... an hour and a half past his bed time.

A box of tools + no bed time = happy children.

Finally finished. CHEESE! Who thinks he stayed there?

Nope. Everyone ended up in Peyton's bed. Cozy.

Peyton builds a Fort

Peyton aka Batman decided he wanted to build a fort. He did this without telling me. We've done several forts but I've always been involved. So imagine my surprise when I walk in to see what he's been doing for so long (anything that keeps him quiet for longer than 5 minutes warrants such a check up) and find him "mid fort". He's such a great kid. Caleb decided he wanted to help.

This is Caleb helping. This might have been the reason the fort did not take off as Peyton hoped. Note Caleb's Robin cape.

Happy Father's Day!

Two guesses who those adorable children are. :) PS I never realized it would take such coordination for two children to hold up 3 letters to create a shadow with a small unpredictable breeze. I'm glad I got the shot. :)

Boys on Deck

I feel like this is a Where's Waldo picture only it's Where's the Superheros? I also like that they're on a deck of which they had nothing to do with building. They are so cute. Andy spent all weekend building it and it is so lovely to sit on and enjoy all the activities going on around. Case in point, playing superheros.
