Peyton the Helper

I might have mentioned in previous posts how much Peyton loves to clean. Seriously, he does. I take out the broom he fights me for it and then spends 10 minutes swinging it around the kitchen. Then he pulls out the dustpan and runs it around the floor before attaching the trashcan with it. At that point he gets distracted with the top part that swings and he plays with that and might even pull out an old chip container or bag of some sort. This is good because it gives me just enough time to do the actual sweeping done and all accessories put away and he forgets all about it. Who doesn't get distracted by food though?

We could go on about how Peyton will beg for the vacuum to come from the closet so he can play with it and mess with the switches and push it around... or watch me push it around... Or how he'll grab an old rag and pretend to wipe the floor... and every now and then he will actually pull out his toys just so he can put them back into the toy chest. What a gem!!

This picture is of him and his latest obsession. The dustbuster. I might also call it my own obsession as well. I've never had one until the last couple weeks when dad gave me one of his and i must admit Peyton and I could be entertained for a good half hour with it.
